We all know what it feels like to experience emotional pain, to struggle, to feel stuck, and to feel directionless at times. These are very human experiences. However, we can experience these in very different ways. Creating a warm, trusting, non-judgmental environment where the client can feel safe, listened to, and understood is vital for me to understand how each client experiences their pain in their own unique way.
I have years of experience in multiple evidence-based practices, and I take pride in flexibly and creatively using these skills where and when they can be helpful without using scientific or psychological jargon that can get in the way of the relationship. I help clients build skills that allow them to relate differently to unwanted, often painful internal experiences such as thoughts and emotions. Creating more flexibility and weakening the power of internal experiences can help the client move in a valued direction and ultimately live the life they want and deserve.
